"About the kissing..." she grinned, "when you meet other humans, you can't go around kissing everyone as a thank you or for simply being nice."
"You didn't like it?"
Her grin faded. "I liked it."
He scooted closer to her and touched his fingers to her long bangs that skimmed her cheek. "Where I am from, we are beings of pure energy. We took this form when coming to earth in case of an accident like what happened last night."
She nodded, transfixed by his proximity.
"When I kissed you, I felt something I hadn't expected. It is a new discovery for me."
She pushed herself to sitting, flattened her hand against the side of his face, and brushed her lips against his. It felt like a discovery to her, too. She roamed her fingertips across his face, over his neck, and along his broad shoulders. Everything about him—his massive size, his gentleness, his hard body—urged her to ignore the words of caution whispering through her brain. She wanted him. If he disappeared later, then so be it.
She worked the buttons of his shirt until she pushed it open. Sliding her mouth from his, she kissed his neck and nibbled her way to his chest. She touched the bandage before pausing to pull her t-shirt over her head and toss it aside.
